I well remember Akko from the days of my childhood and youth growing up on Moshav Bustan Hagalil next to Akko. After ten years spent “in exile” throughout Israel, I returned to the Western Galilee and Bustan Hagalil in the early 1980s.
For the past five years, my heart and eyes have turned to Akko: I research, photograph, write about, and tour the Old City.
Since 2006, I have been accompanying groups, families, and students in going on treasure hunts that I plan in the Old City and the Galilee.
In Akko with my geography students
A treasure hunt with an Israeli family
Touring Akko one-on-one
Urban orienteering at Tel Akko as preparation for IDF induction
I’ ve also been writing and editing books on a range of subjects:

Geography for the High School Matriculation Examination, "Ankori" Publishers

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning.
